GILA is an artist and producer from Denver, Colorado. His debut album ‘Energy Demonstration’, is due 23 October. Following a run of club focused releases on cult UK labels XL Recordings, LuckyMe & Deviation, GILA signed to Lex Records and shared the EPs ‘Trench Tones’ (2019) and ‘3 Riders’ (2020).

On his first full length he blends his signature, hard-edged bangers with an exploration of ambient and downtempo, rendered in his finely tuned production style. GILA’s music has been supported by Flying Lotus, Thom Yorke, Benji B, Jamz Supernova, Jacques Greene, and even Armie Hammer. He’s collaborated with Boys Noize and Rustie, on his album ‘Green Language’.

His first mixtape as part of the duo Gorgeous Children was hotly tipped by Washington Post, Noisey, Fact, SPIN & Stereogum. Benji B later discovered GILA’s track ‘Pick Six’, regarding it as his secret weapon and most requested song in his DJ sets & radio show, and released the ‘Pick Six’ EP on his Deviation label. As a DJ GILA has shared stages with Metro Boomin, Telefon Tel Aviv and fellow Lucky Me alumni Hudson Mohawke & Rustie.
